The European Union shapes our daily lives, and even though they may sometimes seem very abstract to young people, the political decisions taken in Strasbourg and Brussels have a direct impact on their lives as EU citizens. But how are democratic decisions made, and what is the EU actually doing for the younger generation?
During a visit by Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to the classroom, students have the opportunity to learn about the work of the European institutions and discuss current challenges with representatives from the European Parliament. Europe couldn’t be any closer to your pupils!
The session, lasting around 90 minutes, is coordinated, prepared and moderated by the European Parliament Liaison Office in Luxembourg.
